In the field of computer tomography and angiography, the individual application of contrast agent has been a standard for quite some time.

The specific environmental conditions of the magnetic resonance tomograph require a specific design of the contrast agent injection device. The latter should be able to function close to the tomograph without interference effects from the magnetic fields and ensure the absence of image distorsions.

MEDTRON has replaced conventional materials by components with low ferromagnetic content and developed a motor which does not interfere with the magnetic fields.

Thus, MEDTRON now presents the Injectron MRT - a compact micro-processor controlled contrast agent injector which meets all the requirements of modern diagnostic technology and is specially optimized for Magnetic Resonance Tomography.

Compact, mobile and versatile

  • High precision dosage
  • You can finely tune the lowest level of contrast liquid application for any given diagnostic problem.
  • A data base offers numerous programmable injection profiles specially adapted for Magnetic Resonance Angiography.
  • Bolus injections can now be performed without problems even with cannulas of very small diameter.
  • The "Keep Vein Open"- feature (KVO) can be programmed in steps of 0.1 ml and facilitates particularly the examination of small children.
  • Two separate injection modules with automaticfilling feature permit optimized use of the MR contrast liquid. They inject simultaneously or sequentially the NaCL solution and the contrast agent.
  • The desired concentration is one parameter of the injection program, offered as a default percent value.
  • A disposable injection cylinder contains up to 200 ml of NaCI solution ready to use for the preliminary and final injection phase.

Complete remote workability

The user-friendly design of the keyboard as well as a comprehensive user guide on the console are also accesible in remote mode.

After filling and bleeding of the injection modules, the complete range of Injectron MRT functions can be carried out at a distance:

You may observe the injection process from the control room, and you can interrupt or modify it or choose, edit and save injection profiles completely at your convenience.

Zero-cable Mobility

You will not be disturbed or bothered by cables in the examination room: the remote-control is radio-linked to the injection modules.

Finally, the power supply of the Injectron MRT is also geared to optimize performance: two high-output accumulators will ensure you two full working days after only one night of charging.
