Starting December 1, 2025, MEDTRON AG will launch three new consumable sets – one for use in CT and two specifically designed for MRI applications.
With the new sets, MEDTRON offers a user-friendly solution for the quick and hygienic replacement of consumables in 24-hour operations – without compromising safety or efficiency. Overview of the new set variants:

Day Safe – the closed system for enhanced safety, efficiency and control
The new Day Safe consumables have been specially developed for 24-hour multi-use applications. Together with MEDTRON’s dual-piston contrast media injectors – Accutron® CT-D and Accutron® MR– they form an innovative closed filling and injection system that significantly enhances patient safety and ease of use.
The Day Safe system consists of two Day Safe syringes (available in 200 ml or 65 ml capacities) and the Day Safe Filling Tube D. This tube features integrated inline drip chambers with filters that effectively retain crystallized contrast media and other particles. The entire system only needs to be
replaced once per day, allowing for multiple fillings and injections of contrast media and saline solution over a 24-hour period – safely, hygienically, and cost-effectively.
Thanks to its transparent design, users always maintain full visual control of all components – from the supply containers to the patient connection. The direct view of contrast media and saline reservoirs not only simplifies replacement and refilling, but also ensures complete usage of the contents, helping to optimize material consumption.
Hygiene and safety – thoughtfully engineered down to the last detail
The wipeable Drop-Stop connector on the Day Safe filling tube reliably prevents dripping and protects sterile fluids from air exposure. The connector is alcohol-resistant and can be easily disinfected if it comes into contact with contaminated surfaces.
The Day Safe system is complemented by the SUre patient line, a single-use tubing set that is replaced after each patient. It is equipped with two check valves that reliably prevent backflow and cross-contamination between patients.
Interchangeable spikes allow the use of multiple contrast media or saline containers – ensuring maximum flexibility and efficiency in everyday clinical routines.
