Saarbrücken, 15. April 2026 – MEDTRON AG, one of the leading European manufacturers of contrast media injectors and medical technology “Made in Germany,” is expanding its product portfolio with a groundbreaking innovation: With Syriflow® MR, the company introduces a new syringe pump specifically designed for use in MR imaging.
With Syriflow® MR, MEDTRON responds to an urgent need in modern intensive care, anaesthesia, and radiology: “We are well aware of the heavy demands in patient care – especially in intensive care units, where every second counts and maximum precision is essential,” says MEDTRON CEO Markus Bappert. “Our new syringe pump for MRI has been designed to significantly ease the workload of doctors, care staff, and technical teams.”
Direct placement at the MRI saves time and reduces risks
Unlike conventional infusion systems, Syriflow® MR can be placed directly at the MRI (up to 3 Tesla) thanks to its fully non-magnetic design. Long infusion lines and cumbersome workarounds are no longer necessary – this saves time, minimizes the risk of unintentional bolus delivery, and ensures uninterrupted medication administration, particularly for high-risk patients, e.g. in intensive care.
